The birth of Lou Dallas came in 2013 with the debut of 8 knit and sewn pieces shown in a writers Loft in Tribeca. Lou Dallas was created by the artist Raffaella Hanley and is an exploration into the transformative power of clothing. The clothes evoke a feminine romance contrasted by harsh stitch marks and unraveling hems which speak more to a decay and darkness.
